Mishmash! began when Karin Karlander von Schmeling asked Susan Kaessinger to put on an improv show for the Douglaston Arts
Festival and Susan said "only if you're in it!" So after many years, Karin pulled out her oil can, greased her improv joints
and returned to the improv stage along with Susan's former troupe-mates Ross Rubin, from the P.I.T.'s musical improv house
team MC Hammerstein and Mark Hoglund from Script Tease, as well as Karla Chandler, Jason Delo and MIchael Venzor --dedicated and skilled
improvisors who Susan met when they took her classes.
We had so much fun and got such a great audience response that we
decided to keep it going. We love improv in all its forms, so we do a "mishmash" of short form, long form and musical improv.
We are currently developing our own unique musical formats as well as long form formats to be presented in upcoming shows.
David
Broome is our wonderful pianist, and we've also had the pleasure of working with Amir Koshrowpour and Brian Wecht.
Come join
us for some fun and hilarity as we weave tales and Broadway-style musicals based on your suggestions.
