This class is for actors and non-actors alike. During the 6-weeks you will learn and hone basic and advanced improv techniques. Through
theater games, body awareness exercises, story development skills, and character creation you will learn techniques that will help
you to unblock your creativity. A safe, supportive and nurturing atmosphere is created in which each student can be spontaneous, uninhibited

Susan will lead the group through enjoyable theater games, skill-building exercises and scene work. You will learn some basic
improv techniques that will be expanded on during the 6-week class (see description below), and gain an understanding of how improv
skills can unblock your creativity and give you more confidence on and off stage -- all while having lots of fun! LOCATION:

Prerequisite: IMPROV II or comparable training. This class will include an intro-duction to long form improv, a continuation
of musical improv (including more complex song structures), acting techniques and character development skills. Working as an
ensemble that trusts and supports each other will be stressed, as well as taking bigger emotional risks, expanding your verbal and
physical "comfort zones", raising your awareness of others and the environment, and letting go of inhibitions. The class will

Prerequisite: IMPROV I or comparable training. You will continue to work on challenging scene work as well as character creation, storytelling, physical/verbal expression, environment work, as well as hone basic and advanced improv techniques. Building trust and cooperation within the group will continue to be stressed. In addition, there will be two musical sessions with pianist, David Broome, who specializes in musical improvisation. Prerequisite: IMPROV III. This course has been dubbed Improv I(ntra) V(enous) by those who are now addicted to improv
and must get their fix. This class is a continuation of long form improv. Forms learned in Improv III will be further
honed and new forms will be introduced. Editing techniques will be practiced as well. Character development, creating relationships,
building a strong ensemble, and expanding your emotional vocabulary will be worked on. In addition, new musical forms will be

Prerequisite: IMPROV IV. Improv Lab (a/k/a Improv Addicts Clinic) This class is an opportunity to practice and hone everything
you've learned so far and to learn a few new forms, including musical forms. This class will concentrate on expanding your
palate of emotional choices, your array of characters, building on your strengths and strenghtening your skills in areas
