This class is for actors and non-actors alike. During the 6-weeks you will learn and hone basic and advanced improv techniques. Through theater games, body awareness exercises, story development skills, and character creation you will learn techniques that will help you to unblock your creativity. A safe, supportive and nurturing atmosphere is created in which each student can be spontaneous, uninhibited and more comfortable with verbal, emotional and physical expression. The Lucy MosesSchool at The Kaufman Center, 129 West 67th Street (btwn. Broadway & Amsterdam Ave.), Room 409.  To register call 212-501-3360.
Susan will lead the group through enjoyable theater games, skill-building exercises and scene work.  You will learn some basic improv techniques that will be expanded on during the 6-week class (see description below), and gain an understanding of how improv skills can unblock your creativity and give you more confidence on and off stage -- all while having lots of fun! The Lucy MosesSchool at The Kaufman Center, 129 West 67th Street (btwn. Broadway & Amsterdam Ave.), Room 409.  To register call 212-501-3360.
Prerequisite:  IMPROV II or comparable training.  This class will include an intro-duction to long form improv, a continuation of musical improv (including more complex song structures), acting techniques and character development skills.  Working as an ensemble that trusts and supports each other will be stressed, as well as taking bigger emotional risks, expanding your verbal and physical "comfort zones", raising your awareness of others and the environment, and letting go of inhibitions.  The class will conclude with a performance at a local theater  (location TBA).

"Susan's teaching combines an extraordinary blend of support and direction. Her innate kindness gives the least courageous student the courage to take risks.....Her inter- vention is never critical, but always instructive."
