Susan Kaessinger, founder of Improv Etc., has been teaching, coaching, directing and performing improvisational theater for over 25
years. Since 2001, Improv Etc. has offered corporate training, improvisation classes, and private coaching to adults and children.
As a corporate trainer, Susan’s clients include NBC Universal, Oracle Software, Entrepreneurs Organization, The NY Bar Association,
The Peoples Publishing Company, TekScape, Chalkdust Consulting, et al.
Susan currently teaches regularly at Flatbush Community
Theater in Brooklyn. Since 2019, she has been teaching an after school program at Stuyvesant High School, including online during
the pandemic. As a faculty member of the prestigious Lucy Moses School from 2008 - 2017, Susan taught improvisation to children
and adults, including for their Summer Musical Theater Workshop. In addition, she has also taught workshops for the parents and siblings
of special needs children for The Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC), homeschooled children for NYCHEA (New York City Home
Educators Alliance), and an after school program at Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope.
From 2015 - 2019, Susan offered
low cost improv training to a diverse, low-income adult population in Manhattan and Brooklyn through her Meetup Group "Improv for
Actors." From 2010-2016, Susan performed regularly with her improv team Mishmash! and was the recipient of the Creek Award for Best
Improv in 2013. Susan was also featured in the online magazine Salted Scarletry in 2014.
